The NoQ project is another one that incorporated a great deal of different aspects, as we provided our full scope of expertise to help get the website and app up and running, including building iPhone and Android apps, along with the associated web application.
Essentially the app provides a service to avoid queues at festivals when looking to buy food/drink at festival stalls. You can do everything from within the app, including purchasing said order using credit card or Paypal. Then you are notified when your meal is ready to be picked up.
Originally the company had a very basic logo, which we simplified and modernised. Due to the pure variation of consumers at a festival and the array of different festivals NoQ could service, we stayed with something simple and fresh.
With regards to the UI design, there were two stages here. The company required us to build them a quick beta version that they could test at some initial events. This went extremely well and the company asked us to re-skin the whole app, culminating in what you see now. Our designers paid close attention to industry standards and similar apps to create this extremely easy to use design.
As with the design, we have had two stages of development: the creation of the beta version and the recently launched re-skin.
Consumers make their purchases through the mobile apps (Android/iOS). Both apps are coded natively and are extremely quick and responsive.
These apps integrate with the web application that allows stall owners to manage everything they need from the meals on offer to the orders that come through. We have also built an interface that allows said stall owners to put manual orders through the system.
This really makes the NoQ system a one stop shop for festival stalls. #SayNoToQueues
